Wallets

One wallet signs you in. One wallet is the one quests are checked against. They are usually the same wallet — and when they are not, it is worth knowing which is which.

One address, every network

A wallet address is the same string on every EVM network. The wallet holding your gas on Base is the same wallet holding USDC.e on Soneium and a liquidity position there.

So Denshin never asks you which network a wallet is "for". You link an address once, and it counts on every network the season runs on.

The main wallet

Exactly one of your linked wallets is the main one, and it is the one that matters:

  • every on-chain quest is checked against it, and only against it;
  • the accept block that bounds an action check is recorded for it;
  • the leaderboard shows it, and a payout goes to it.

ONE WALLET AT A TIME, NOT ALL OF THEM AT ONCE

Checks do not look across all your linked wallets. If you hold the gas on one address and the tokens on another, a quest that asks for both will not close. Put the season's funds on the main wallet, or switch the main wallet to where the funds are.

The one exception is the daily Denshin Sync: it can come from any linked wallet, not only the main one.

Linking more wallets

You can link up to ten wallets to one profile. Linking asks the new wallet for a signature — free, no gas, no spending permission — because the only thing that proves an address is yours is that address signing for itself.

An address belongs to exactly one profile. If it is already linked somewhere, linking it again is refused rather than moved silently.

Any linked wallet can sign you in. They are, in that sense, ten doors into one apartment.

Switching the main wallet

You can make any linked wallet the main one at any time. Two consequences are worth knowing before you switch:

  1. Quests you have already started are pinned to the wallet you started them on. After a switch, press Start again on those quests. They then re-open on your new main wallet from the current block, and the action has to be done from that address.
  2. Quests you have already finished stay finished. Points already earned were earned, and nothing takes them back.

Nothing is lost by switching; work in flight is repeated.

If you lose a wallet

This is the case the design exists for. A wallet you no longer control is not only lost funds — it is a door into your profile that somebody else is holding.

Unlink it. Open Settings → Wallets and press unlink on that wallet. Denshin then asks you to sign with a different wallet on the same profile — one you are keeping.

That rule is the whole protection. Being signed in is not enough on its own, because whoever holds the lost key can sign in too. Only someone holding one of your other wallets can unlink anything, and that someone is you.

Unlinking also signs out every session on the profile, including one somebody may have opened with the lost key. Sign back in with a wallet you kept.

WHILE YOU STILL HAVE THE CHOICE

Link a second wallet before you need one. An account with a single wallet has nothing to sign an unlink with, and the last wallet cannot be removed — an account with no wallet is an account nobody can open.

If the lost wallet was the main one, unlinking it promotes the oldest wallet you kept, so the profile is never left without one. If your on-chain score was computed from the wallet you unlinked, that component returns to zero. Check afterwards that the promoted wallet is the one you actually want quests checked against.

What Denshin never asks for

  • Your seed phrase or private key. There is no field for one anywhere, and no member of the team will ever ask.
  • A token approval as part of signing in. Logging in is a plain message signature.
  • A transaction to link, unlink or switch a wallet. All three are signatures, and all three are free.
