Daily Check
One point on the map, one Denshin Sync per day. The streak is the whole mechanic.
What it is
Every UTC day a Daily Check point is placed somewhere in the city. Find it, tap it and take it with a Denshin Sync — one small transaction on Soneium, Base or Sonic, your choice each day. It pays. Tomorrow the point is somewhere else.
Where it appears
The placement follows three rules:
- Only on a quarter that is open to you. A point on a sealed quarter cannot be reached, which would turn a returning-player reward into a second progression system.
- Never on yesterday's quarter. As long as more than one quarter is open, it moves — that is a guarantee, not a coin flip.
- Away from the edges. It is inset from the quarter's border so it always reads as belonging to the quarter it is on, and never half-parked on a street.
Your Daily Check point is placed for you. It is not a race, and finding it first takes nothing from anyone else.
Taking it
Tapping the point opens the Denshin Sync window. Pick a network, press Sync on Soneium (or Base, or Sonic) and confirm one transaction in your wallet. The day counts as soon as the transaction is in a block — seconds on all three networks.
It costs only the network fee — a fraction of a cent, paid in ETH on Soneium or Base, or in S on Sonic — and moves nothing else out of your wallet: no value, no tokens, no approval. The sync can come from any wallet linked to your profile, not only the main one.
The window shows the current UTC time in its corner, so you always know which day you are syncing for. The contract, the rules and what to do when a sync does not go through are on Denshin Sync.
What it pays
Points equal to your current streak, with the day price capped at 30.
| Streak day | Points |
|---|---|
| 1 | 1 |
| 2 | 2 |
| 7 | 7 |
| 14 | 14 |
| 30 | 30 |
| 31+ | 30 (the cap) |
The day boundary is UTC midnight, and a sync belongs to the UTC day of the block it landed in. One Daily Check counts per player per day, however many wallets or networks you sync from: a second sync on another network the same day is possible on-chain, but it pays nothing extra.
Missing a day resets the streak to 1. There is no streak insurance, no freeze and no way to buy the day back. That is the point of the ladder: what a missed day costs is not one day's points, it is the price every future day had climbed to.
The streak is yours, not a network's: sync on Base one day and on Sonic the next, and it carries on.
The counter is not capped — it will tell you the truth about day 90. Only the price of a day stops at 30, so that a long streak cannot outweigh playing the season.
A first full month, never missed, is 465 points (1+2+…+30). Every month after that, held at the cap, is 900.
The streak survives the season
When a season ends, your season points reset. Your streak does not. Day 31 of an unbroken run is day 31 whether or not a season changed underneath it.
This is deliberate. The streak exists to give you a reason to open the city tomorrow, and a mechanic that wipes itself on a date nobody chose gives you a reason to stop. A second full month, held at the cap the whole way, is 900 points — a real reward for a month of showing up, and still less than the season's quests are worth.
Where the points go
Daily Check points count toward your season standing and your lifetime total, exactly like quest points. They move the leaderboard.
They also pay the person who invited you their standard 10%, rounded down, under the same 25% cap as everything else:
| Your streak day | Your referrer receives |
|---|---|
| 1–9 | 0 |
| 10–19 | 1 |
| 20–29 | 2 |
| 30 and beyond | 3 |
A Daily Check is a real transaction that someone paid gas for — the same kind of proven on-chain action as a quest — so it pays referral like one. Nothing is taken from you: the share is paid on top by the system. See Referrals.
A counted Denshin Sync is also a verified on-chain transaction for season rewards.
