Points

Four sources, two totals, one rule: everything you earn counts.

The two totals

Your profile carries two different point totals, and they answer two different questions.

TotalWhat it answersResets?
Season pointsWhere you stand in this season's race for the prize poolYes — every season starts at zero
Lifetime pointsHow much you have done in this city since you arrivedNo — never

Season points decide your leaderboard position and therefore your payout. Lifetime points decide your rank — your standing in the city, which no season reset can take away.

EVERY SOURCE FEEDS BOTH

Quest points, the profile multiplier, Daily Check and referral income all land in your season points and in your lifetime points. Nothing you earn is decorative. The one exception is not earned in a season at all: the one-off Genesis bonus.

Where points come from

Quests — the engine

Each task inside a quest carries its own point value; a quest's reward is the sum of its tasks. Points are credited the moment a task verifies against the chain, not when you press a button.

The current Genesis season publishes 33 quests worth 1,800 points of task rewards, spread across three networks and four waves:

WaveQuestsTask points
Arrival6260
Everyday10410
Ties10450
Close7680

All four waves are open from day one. A wave is how the season is grouped on the map and in what order it suggests you walk it — it is not a release schedule.

A quest is priced by what it asks of you, on one scale:

DifficultyWhat it takesPoints
EasyLink an account, hold a balance, press a button20
MediumOne real on-chain transaction60
HardA larger threshold, a new protocol, or depending on other people120
LegendaryFinishing the season200

Repeating an action you have already been paid for is worth half its tier — the second swap on the same venue pays 30, not 60. The same rule covers a second network: doing on Soneium what you already did on Base is a repeat, and pays half. Full price is reserved for work that is new — bringing funds across for the first time, and providing liquidity.

By the third network there is no new work left to pay full price for, so every Sonic quest is a half-tier quest. A network adds a route, not a second scoreboard: the prize pool is fixed at $100 and split by rank, so more points for everyone would change nobody's place and nobody's payout.

Three of those 33 are team quests, and they work differently: they pay nothing for their tasks and instead split one pool when the team fills. Every seat on a bigger team pays more than every seat on a smaller one. See team quests.

The profile multiplier

Every quest payout is multiplied by your reputation score:

points credited = quest points + ⌊quest points × score / 100⌋

A maxed profile (score 90) is worth +90% on everything a quest pays — a team seat included — close to doubling a season. The bonus is rounded down on each credit and recorded as its own ledger line beside the quest, so you can see where it came from. The score is read at the moment of the credit: raise it mid-season and the next quest pays more, while nothing already paid is recalculated.

The multiplier applies to your own work only. It is never applied a second time to the share you receive from someone you invited.

Daily Check — the streak

Taking the day's Daily Check point pays points equal to your current streak, with the day price capped at 30. You take it with a Denshin Sync — one small transaction on Soneium, Base or Sonic that costs only gas, a fraction of a cent.

Day of an unbroken streakPoints that day

77
3030
31 and beyond30

A perfect month from a cold start is 465 points; the first thirty days climb, and every day after that pays the full 30. Miss a day and the streak resets to 1 — there is no freeze, no insurance and no way to buy the day back. The streak survives the end of a season, so a second month held at the cap is 900.

Daily Check points count toward the leaderboard like everything else, and they pay your referrer the same 10% as quest points do — see below.

See Daily Check for where the point appears, and Denshin Sync for the transaction.

Referrals

  • 5 points once someone you invited completes their first quest — not for entering the code, for actually arriving.
  • 10% of everything that player earns from quests, the first one included, together with their profile multiplier — paid by the system, never deducted from them.
  • 10% of their Daily Check points, rounded down — nothing until their streak reaches day 10, then 1, 2 and at most 3 points a day.
  • Your referral income is capped at 25% of what you have earned yourself.

See Referrals for why both limits exist.

Operator corrections

An operator can correct a balance up or down — the only kind of entry that may be negative. Corrections are logged with a reason, land in your lifetime total, and can never push a total below zero. They exist for fixing genuine mistakes (a check that misfired, a duplicate credit), not for handing out favours: a correction only reaches the season standing if it is explicitly marked as correcting season income.

Genesis bonus

Players whose wallet is on the white list are Genesis citizens and receive 100 points once. The bonus lands in your lifetime total and counts toward your rank, but it never enters your season points, so it cannot move your leaderboard position or your payout, and it pays your referrer nothing. → Genesis and the white list

The ledger

Every credit is a row in a ledger with a type, and the type decides two independent things — which total it lands in, and whether it feeds the season standing:

Entry typeLands inFeeds the season standingPays your referrer
Quest pointsLifetimeYesYes — 10%, under the cap
Profile multiplierLifetimeYesYes — it is part of what you earned
Daily CheckLifetimeYesYes — 10%, under the cap
Referral incomeLifetime (referral side)YesNo — there is no second layer
Genesis bonusLifetimeNoNo
Operator correctionLifetimeOnly if marked as season incomeNo

Your points history is visible in the app, entry by entry, with the reason attached. If a number surprises you, that list is where the answer is.

What a season is actually worth

Useful to know before you plan your month, and deliberately not a secret. Genesis runs 52 days, and these are its exact figures:

SourceThe most it can pay in Genesis
Solo quests — 30 of them1,540
Team seats — the first seat in all three teams346 (the last seats: 295)
Profile multiplier at score 90, on both of the above+1,697
Daily Check, every one of the 52 days1,125
The ceiling, before referral income4,708

And what that looks like for real players:

A player who…Season points
Finishes every solo quest, no team, score 0, no Daily Check1,540
Finishes everything, the last seat in every team, score 0, never misses a day2,960
Finishes everything, the first seat in every team, score 90, never misses a day4,708 — the ceiling

The ceiling is a ceiling, not a target: it requires the first seat in every team, which only one player per team can have. Referral income can add to it, but never more than a quarter of your own total. It is also deliberately below the 5,000 mark on the rank ladder: one flawless season moves you one step, not two. In per-month terms the ceiling is about 2,700.

What points do

  • Season points set your leaderboard position, and position sets your payout.
  • Lifetime points set your rank — permanent standing, never reset.

Points are not a currency: they are not transferable, not purchasable, and cannot be spent on anything inside the city.
