Fair play
Anyone can play, and everyone who scores is ranked. The reward has one condition — this page explains what it is and why it sits where it does.
Filter, don't block
There are two places to put an anti-farming defence: on participation or on the payout.
Putting it on participation means gating who may connect, who may earn points and who appears on the board. It punishes real players for looking unusual, adds friction to every new arrival, and still does not stop a determined farmer — it just makes them work slightly harder.
Denshin puts it on the payout. Play freely, earn points freely, appear on the public board freely. The filter runs at the moment money is assigned, which is the only moment where farming actually costs anyone anything.
The eligibility rule
To receive a payout from a season, a ranked player needs one thing:
At least one verified on-chain transaction inside the season window.
Not a balance. Not a login. A transaction of yours that Denshin found on the chain and accepted while the season was running. Two kinds count:
- a swap a quest check verified — in Genesis, any swap quest, on Base or on Soneium;
- a counted Denshin Sync — the daily check-in, on any of the three networks.
Quests that read what a wallet holds (gas, dollars, a deposit, a stake, a liquidity position) do not count here, however many of them you finish: a holding proves funds, not an action, and the same funds can sit under many wallets in turn.
This is the expensive condition to fake. Every accepted swap burns a globally unique transaction hash — recorded once, forever, and never reusable by any account for any task (details) — and every Denshin Sync is counted once, for one account. Both cost real gas. A farmer minting fresh addresses and clicking through the tutorial produces none of these.
Softer alternatives were tried and dropped: "active on three separate days" and "has a linked social account" both prove an account is not disposable, and neither proves a single cent was spent. One real transaction per wallet is the only bar that costs money.
EVERY SIGNAL IS OUR OWN
The rule is computed from Denshin's own records. Nothing here depends on a third-party "humanity score" or a vendor's opinion of you. That makes it deterministic, free, testable — and impossible to break on payout day because someone's API is down.
Everything you earn counts — under limits
Every point source feeds the season standing. That is a deliberate reversal of the earlier design, where the daily mechanic and referral income sat in a balance that ranked nobody: a player who came back every day and brought friends watched a number grow beside a position that never moved, and was right to read that as broken.
What replaced the exclusions is a set of limits on the sources that are cheap to produce:
| Source | Counts | The limit on it |
|---|---|---|
| Quest points | Yes | Verified work — usually on-chain, always bounded by the catalogue |
| Profile multiplier | Yes | Capped at +90%, each signal clamped at its own maximum |
| Daily Check | Yes | A day is worth at most 30, one counts per player per day, and each is a real transaction |
| Referral income | Yes | Never more than 25% of what you earned yourself |
| Operator corrections | Only when correcting season income | A correction should undo a mistake, not create standing |
The two limits that carry the weight:
A Daily Check is capped, and it costs a transaction. A day is worth at most 30 points, and only one counts per player per UTC day, however many wallets or networks you sync from. Each one is a Denshin Sync — a real transaction that someone paid gas for, from a wallet linked to the profile — which is also why it pays referral like any other proven on-chain action, under the same cap below.
Referral income is capped at a quarter of your own. Without it, ten invited and fully played-out accounts would be worth roughly a whole season of honest play to their inviter, and the board would stop measuring who played. With it, invites can amplify a season by a quarter and can never replace it.
Other guardrails
| Guardrail | Rule |
|---|---|
| Referral income ceiling | 25% of your own earnings |
| Referrals per code | 100 maximum |
| Referral loops | You cannot use the code of anyone below you in your referral chain |
| Late referral codes | A code only works for an account that has not earned any points yet |
| Self-referral | Rejected |
| Transaction reuse | A transaction hash is consumable exactly once, globally |
| Team quest seats | Checked against the referral tree — players who share a referral ancestor cannot sit on one team |
| Team quest payout | Nothing is paid until every seat is filled; an unfilled team burns its whole pool |
| Score caps | Every reputation component is clamped at its published maximum |
| Quest windows | A closed quest cannot be completed for points, at accept time or at check time |
What gets you removed
Denshin does not ban players for playing well, for being new, or for having a small wallet. It does act on:
- operating multiple accounts to occupy team places or farm referral income;
- automating gameplay to harvest Daily Check at scale;
- attempting to reuse or forge proof of on-chain actions.
Accounts found doing this can be excluded from a season's payout while remaining free to play.
If you think a number is wrong
Your points history in the app lists every credit with its reason and its source. Check it first — most surprises are a referral credit that hit the 25% ceiling, or a team quest that has not paid yet because its team is not full. If the history itself looks wrong, bring your profile and the entry in question to one of the channels on Official links.
